DLDP at Venstre’s National Congress 2025

This weekend, the Danish Liberal Democracy Programme (DLDP) took part in Venstre’s annual national congress, where representatives, members, and guests gathered to discuss the future of liberal politics in Denmark and beyond.

Throughout the congress, DLDP had many valuable conversations — both with long-standing supporters who have followed and backed our work for years, and with new visitors curious to learn more about how DLDP contributes to strengthening democratic institutions.

These discussions highlighted a strong and continued interest in democracy support, particularly in DLDP’s partnerships with liberal actors in Africa and Eastern Europe. Many were keen to hear about how international cooperation, party development, and democratic dialogue can help build resilient political systems in challenging contexts.

Participating in the congress also provided an important opportunity to reconnect with the broader Venstre community, exchange perspectives, and share experiences from our work in the field. The encouragement and engagement we received along the way were a clear reminder that democracy support remains a shared priority.

DLDP is grateful for the interest, the conversations, and the continued backing of our work to strengthen liberal democracy across borders.
