Danish Liberal Democracy Programme is an independent organisation established by Venstre with the aim to support multiparty democracy in developing countries.

The Executive Committee (EC) of Venstre has appointed the Board of DLDP. The Board members are:

  • Bo Manderup Jensen, Chairman. Director of EU Consult International, City Council member in Vordingborg, former Head of Cabinet, Director General of the EU Parliament.
  • Christian Hüttemeier, Secretary General of Venstre.
  • Karen Ellemann, First deputy speaker of the Danish parliament and former minister.
  • Henrik Bach Mortensen, Vice president of ALDE and former chairman of DIPD
  • Per Paludan Hansen, Secretary General of Liberal Association for Adult Education (LOF).
  • August Stengaard, chairman the international committee of Liberal Youth (VU).

The Board is responsible for strategic decisions in relation to DLDP’s work. Furthermore, the board employs the DLDP Programme Manager, and monitors and evaluates the progress of the implementation of the DLDP activities.

The Liberal Association for Adult Education (LOF) offers administrative supervision and controlling in relation to DLDP’s work through their accounting consultant and secretary general. LOF also hosts the secretariat of DLDP.
